Course de l'Oriente

Thank you all!
The 16th edition of the Oriente Race closed with a great success.

The relay with 37 teams registered seduced more and more riders. But above all the march was very well attended. You were more than 80 walkers to discover the surroundings of Ghisoni. The individual race with more than 180 registered runners, for its part, remains an essential event for local specialists in the discipline. With a little something extra this year, the registration of the race, for the first year at the Skyrunning National Series (SNS) challenge, spiced up the event.

Edouard Laudier thanks to his fine victory consolidates his first place in the SNS ranking. In the women’s event, Niçoise Amandine Ginouves won.

The relay will have given rise to a sumptuous mano à mano between the Martinets and AS Figarella. Antony Quilicci associated with Maxime Bertrand (AS Figarella) thought he had probably done the hardest work by taking the lead. This was without counting the young Medori associated with Noel Giordano, who thanks to a phenomenal run would give the Martinets team the definitive victory.

But beyond the sporting aspect, we were all gathered to give a little help to a little boy and his family: the little Matéo. Thanks to your participation, 4,000 euros were given to his family. Your encouragements, your efforts without forgetting the facets of Pikachu we hope, will modestly help this little kid in his fight against the disease.

Thank you to all our sponsors, institutional and private (faithful and newcomers) who each year allow us to make this event last and maintain the charitable aspect of the event.

Finally, thank you to all the volunteers, once again, you were all present, each at their station: logistics, registrations, buffet, security stations, medical care, welcome of the runners,… a lot of work but always in a good mood.
You are our pride!

We hope to meet all of you runners, walkers, and volunteer friends for the 2019 edition of the Oriente Run.
