Last year A Corsa di l’Oriente joined a very famous national challenge: the Skyrunner National Series (SNS).This renowned challenge proposes technical courses, a discovery of the most beautiful French mountains with exceptional atmospheres and human-sized racing organizations. The objective of the Skyrunner National Series is to be able to classify the best riders in the specialty.
For the 2019 Edition, we are very pleased to announce that A Corsa di l’Oriente will host the finale of the Skyrunner National Series (SNS).
This finale is a sporting recognition of course, but also of the seriousness of the organization and the state of mind and values defended by our event. This new step in the development of the race, gives our event a national visibility. In addition, the SNS is the national antechamber of the Skyrunning World Series.
How to participate in the SNS?
The Skyrunners National Series France 2019 calendar offers 5 races from May to August in the Pyrenees, Alps and Corsica.
- The Matheysins Skyrace (Saint Honoré, Isère) on May 19,
- The Vallespir Skyrace (Amélie les Bains, Pyrénées Orientales) on May 26th,
- The Patou trail (Saint Lary Soulan, Hautes Pyrénées) on June 23rd,
- A Corsa di l’Oriente (Ghisoni, Corse) on August 4.
You will have to participate in 3 out of 4 races to be ranked.
The points in the final are 20% higher than in the other rounds. In the event of a tie in the overall ranking, it is the result of the last event that will decide between the athletes!
The Skyrunner National Series rewards the top 5.
There are two categories represented: Male and Female Scratch.
The general classification takes into account the male and female rankings separately.
The first 2 riders (M & F) classified in the general classification will have the race number as well as accommodation offered on the next event.
Would you like to take up a sporting challenge in three different mountain ranges and end up in a climax with a real human adventure, yours? See you on August 4th for the epilogue of your adventure in Ghisoni!
